Working in conservation also means contributing to the well-being of people. But conservation projects can have a direct social impact on the local population, be it good or bad. How to assess social risks and ensure fair and effective conservation work? Learn more in the Social Safeguards e-learning course and webinar, one of the many free online offerings of Capacity for Conservation.

This collaborative project funded by the Cambridge Conservation Initiative (CCI), Arcadia Fund, MAVA Foundation and the Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund (CEPF) offers free online resources for conservation organisations to strengthen their resilience and ability to reach enduring conservation impacts.

The webinars and e-learning courses on offer range from conflict management and social safeguards to a multi-part series on the targeted use of funding and other interesting topics. The courses were developed in cooperation with project partners such as our member organisation Fauna & Flora International, which most recently contributed the webinar “An Introduction to Social Safeguards”.

You can find all the offers of the cooperation project in the Learning Hub of Capacity for Conservation.
