How it all began: On May 21, 1995, the then chairman of the International Ranger Federation, Gordon Miller, ceremoniously opened the first World Ranger Congress in Zakopane, Poland.
As one of the first opportunities to meet rangers from around the world, many colleagues still fondly remember what it was like to hear firsthand about ranger stories from around the world.
