The International Ranger Federation (IRF) World Ranger Congress (WRC) provides a unique opportunity for rangers from all over the world to gather together and collaborate on issues affecting rangers globally.
The Congress provides a platform for rangers to share knowledge, create partnerships and build capacity through a cross pollination of ideas, techniques and best practice conservation/management initiatives that have been tried and tested in conservation areas around the word. The continued collaboration of ranger associations through this global platform is essential to increase the visibility of the incredible work that rangers do. The WRC is a key opportunity to raise public awareness of the challenges faced daily by rangers working on the frontline, and bring these issues to the forefront of conservation agendas. In the same vein, it provides an opportunity for rangers to express their concerns and raise any issues that are not getting sufficient attention in the conservation community.
