Seven Summits Challenge: Be part of it!
October 21 - November 12
SEVEN SUMMITS CHALLENGE – Open to Rangers from all Continents
by the Tasmanian Rangers Association
- Starting on Saturday the 21st October and finishing on Sunday the 12th November, Rangers from across Tasmania, mainland Australia and each of the seven continents will be tackling peaks, hills, stairs etc in their area, and log in via an Seven Summits Challenge site.
- This can be walking, running or on a bike.
- A running tally of elevation gained will be kept updated on the Tasmanian Rangers Assocation’s social media platforms to achieve 40 000 metres in elevation, the combined height of the highest peaks on each continent.
- The walks and climbs don’t have to be big, but the more people on board, the less climbing all have to do!

Apart from raising funds for the Forest Guards in Timor Leste, the Tasmanian Rangers Association hopes to bring Rangers and other protected area champions from across Oceania and the world, including Europe, together in a public way.
