We welcome the Georgian Ranger Association into the European Ranger Federation. Their application for provisional membership of the IRF was approved last week and they are now starting to build up their membership base within the Georgian Agency for Protected Areas. The Agency has already acknowledged the importance to be had from networking throughout Europe. And they have valued the solidarity shown recently following the death of one of their Rangers, Ivane Kupradze who was killed by a falling tree during fires in Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park. The Thin Green Line Foundation also supported his wife and young daughter with a grant from the Fallen Rangers fund.
