A joint meeting of the Slovak Ranger Association and Czech Ranger Association took place on 8 – 10 November at Kohútka on the Czech-Slovak border, continuing the tradition of Czecho-Slovak cooperation. The programme included presentations by the participating rangers and protected area representatives, a discussion with a regional prosecutor on nature and landscape protection, a choice of 3 field trips into the neighbouring Beskydy (CZ) and Kysuce (SK) Protected Landscape Areas and a traditional ranger party.
Natalia Burianova represented the European Ranger Federation and gave an update on the recent activities of the ERF. A video message from the ERF president, as well as greetings from the IRF South America representative were shared. The South American representative presented an idea for a potential ranger exchange programme between South America and Central Europe, which was positively received.
