As 2025 draws to a close, we look back with gratitude on many wonderful partnerships, without which our work would not have been possible. Our declaration from the 6th European Ranger Congress, as well as the on-site support of our board and council members in establishing the ranger profession in Moldova, demonstrate some of what this work entails.
We bid farewell to a special advisor and supporter who is retiring: the founder of the Thin Green Line Foundation. And we look back on the tragic loss of a Spanish ranger who died on duty in an accident. We also summarise the feedback from participants at the 6th European Ranger Congress (ERC) and cordially invite you and your ranger association to applying as host for the 7th ERC. And we look to the United States, where rangers have brought together rangers from around the world to share insights to their everyday rangering in the midst of a tough year for conservation in the US.
