While the European Ranger Community’s major event is still echoing in our minds, we invite you to look back on the 6th European Ranger Congress in Romania: on intense days from which, as we have heard repeatedly, participants took back many ideas for their field work, made new or deeper contacts for professional exchange – and overall simply enjoyed the great feeling of being part of a community that is fully committed to its role: being a mediator between people and nature conservation.
We also introduce you to two female rangers from this community. One has just been honoured for what was the motto of the congress: building bridges between rural communities and nature conservation. The other tells us that gender equality is well established in her team, but reactions from outside still reflect outdated role models. This shows us how female rangers still need to be much more accepted as a matter of course, everywhere in the world! Plus: You can now read about the focus of our work as ERF in our annual activity report.
