We look back on weeks of diversity: by preparing for World Female Ranger Week in June to improve diversity in the international ranger workforce, to which you are invited to contribute with your statements. Or looking back at a conference on DNA forensics, where various experts discussed how DNA analyses and sampling by rangers can best be used to protect wildlife.
Also new in May: How two female rangers are opening people’s eyes to the immeasurable value of the natural and cultural heritage of protected landscapes. And ERF board members who are once again heavily underway: in Moldova to help build up the pioneering ranger movement. In London, where we brought the perspective of European rangers into a discussion with international ranger and ranger-related NGOs about global budget cuts, labour standards and the goals of ranger work. And in the Black Forest, where a Thai ranger representative took home a donation of tick removal cards to help prevent further ranger deaths caused by ticks.
